Obituary of Don Mortensen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Don Mortensen. Mort, as he was known by all, will be sadly missed. Family was everything to Mort, including Laurel, his wife of 52 years, his late son Jon, daughters Chris & Lisa (Dunn), son-in-law Alan, grandsons Jack & Sam and sister Sandi Watts (Tor). Mort worked for CFPL TV for close to 35 years and leaves behind many great friends. His easy-going nature, along with his love of the Cleveland Indians and his ’58 Chevy, will always be remembered. Come join us in a celebration of Mort’s life at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St. – Please use King St. entrance) on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 2 – 4 p.m. A huge thank you to the staff on D5 at LHSC Victoria Hospital who cared for him in his final days.
