George, Perry; so sorry to hear about your Dad. It's been too many years but when I heard my mind immediately went back to an intimate "family" dinner that Mom cooked and Dad presided over (we were still teens). I remember his surprise when he heard I'd never eaten Okra, and proceeded to tell me how he grew it in the garden... how healthy it was... he was so easy to talk to.... okra is still a favorite food.

With heavy hearts we coney our sincerest condolences, sharing in deep sympathy with all of your family, on the passing of your father Nicholas Gelakis.
We are grateful to have known this gracious, elegant always kind warm engaging, generous, compassionate man, and shall treasure many special memories.
He was of the early special generation of Greek immigrants to London in the 1950s, just after the Wars, and was friends with my Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles who all arrived at the same time with so many hopes and dreams to start their new lives, families, and futures so long ago.
At the bookend of their years my Dad and Nicholas spent time frequenting the gravesite commiserating and remembering their lost beloved wives. When I then lost my Dad in recent years I too as it happened while visiting at the cemetery, would often meet and find time to chat and reminisce with Nicholas who was always sympathetic, wise, consoling and always found something encouraging to say bringing a smile, and a little laugh. Such sweet sad memories.
May his memory be eternal.

True class .. a fine gentlemen … elegant … debonair, .. stylish… creative .. so very kind … witty and extremely intelligent, not to mention one of the best salesman I’ve ever dealt with. We did fashion shows together, dined in fine restaurants and a few real estate transactions. Honourable with a handshake that was far more firm than a written contract. His word was never questioned. His loving wife Elizabeth were icons in the fashion industry and had celebrity clients fly in to get fitted, and styled to perfection, though they would never utter a word of the famous patrons they dressed. Perry, George and family … how fortunate you all were having wonderful parents that loved and cherished you more than anything else in this world. Nicholas & Elizabeth .. a true love story. They always held hands … always. Thank you for all the good deeds you did for lour community.and know that you will Always be remembered with heartfelt joy.

One of my earliest memories with my Aunt and Uncle Gelakis was spending a couple of weeks at their house for the summer holidays playing with all the beautiful fabrics making Barbie clothes -A little girls heaven on earth lace and ribbons galore and suggestions from Thea Elizabeth of course - My Barbie was the best dressed ever. Gone are those days but the memories continue as we pass the love they showed us to our children and grandchildren. Our deepest condolences to all the families of Perry and George.
