The skies cleared up and the rain held off for our 30th Annual George Furtney Memorial Forest Dedication Service that was held September 25, 2022 at Fanshawe Conservation Area in cooperation with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA).

Two hundred  family members and friends braved the cool weather to pay tribute and honour to their loved ones who had passed away over the past year.  

Words of comfort and prayers were offered by Rev. Jeff Hicks, and family members listened to words from Karen Pugh, Resource Specialist with the UTRCA and Dave Pizzey, owner of the Logan & Evans Funeral Homes.  Poems were read by Funeral Directors Ben O'Grady & Cassi Mask and families reflected and remembered their loved ones during a musical selection.

Thank you to everyone who attended and for all the positive comments and thank yous that were received.

Thank you also to Alanna Smith-Morton (Funeral Director) & Pegi Walker (Funeral Director Assistant) for their organization of the day.
